James Dixon (Sheffield 1823-1835) Silver Plated 3 piece tea set – Tea Pot, Sugar Bowl and Milk Jug
The Tea Set includes a Tea Pot, Sugar Bowl and Cream Jug.
This is a gadrooned style tea set with the tea pot finial and handle in ebonised wood which is a very attractive combination enhancing the silver plate.
The milk jug and sugar bowl are marked at the bottom with the initials J.D. & S indicating James Dixon of Sheefield who traded between 1823 to 1835. All items are in very good shining condition with the pot showing tea staining.

Sugar Bowl H Lowest point 8 cm (3 1/4 inches) W from handle to handle 20 cm (8 inches) D 8 cm (3 1/4 inches)
Milk Jug H Lowest point 8 cm (3 1/4 inches) W from handle to pouring lip 13 cm (5 1/4 inches) D 6 cm (2 1/4 inches)
Condition The tea pot shows tea staining.
