This is a lovely early Edwardian (c 1900) mahogany two tier large table with a piecrust edge and a matching under tier with joining stretchers. The wood of the table is in a rich dark mahogany colour with good patina which has aged beautifully.

The table stands firmly on elegant cabriole legs carved delightfully with acanthus leaves and flower. The legs terminate in nicely shaped spade feet.

This attractive antique table would prove an ideal piece as an occasional table or a window table with a beautiful lamp or important porcelain and china.

Condition report: This lovely example of Edwardian oval table dates back to circa 1900 and is 100 years old. The table shows original building material and construction methods. However, as with most antiques there are signs of age and use. The table top has some fine scratches probably due to the display of objects. The under tier too has fine scratches again probably due to its use for the display of small objects. There are one or two scuffs and very small dents mentioned here together with the above for accuracy and believed to be a testimony of the age and use of this very fine old piece of antique furniture. Please review carefully the photographs to see the items listed here.
