This is a lovely silver plated, beautifully engraved 3 piece Tea Set of melon fluted design. The Tea Set includes a Tea Pot, Sugar Bowl and Cream Jug. The tea pot finial and handle are made in black ebonised wood which is a very attractive combination enhancing the silver plate. The three items feature the same Edwardian style with beautiful hand engraved motifs.
The tea set is unmarked. This tea set was probably made around 1903 in either Sheffiled or Birmingham. All items are in good condition.
Tea Pot: H: 13 cm (5 inches); W: 22 cm (8 3/4 inches); D: 9 cm (3.5 inches)
Sugar Bowl: H: 8 cm (3.5 inches); W: from handle to handle 15 cm (6 inches); D: 6 cm (2.5 inches)
Milk Jug: H: 7 cm (2 3/4 inches); W: from handle to pouring lip 12 cm (4 3/4 inches) D: 5 cm (2 inches)
Condition Report: Visually this is a beautiful and very attractive tea set. The engraving is just very attractive. The set is in overall good condition. There is evidence of a small metal ware at the foot of the tea pot and some minor dents. The engraving is slightly worn due to polishing. Please review carefully the high definition photographs to check the tea set.
