This is a very attractive and elegant Victorian (c 1850) dark mahogany chest with two small and three large graduated drawers. The drawers are furnished with attractive bun knobs with brass locks. There is also an elegant key to fit the first drawer.
The chest has elegant outswept bracket feet.
The mahogany of the chest of drawers has a beautiful dark colour, good patina and is in good condition considering it is some 150 years old!
It has been beautifully cleaned inside and out using a traditional form of wax finishing and is therefore ready to grace your home. I can describe this piece as a lovely, quality and elegant Victorian antique furniture with a great deal of character.

Condition report: The chest dates back to circa 1850 and is some 163 years old! The main casing of the chest shows original building material and construction methods. However, as with all antiques there are signs of small dents, fine scratches and old repairs like in the case of the outswept right foot. The back left corner of the top is damaged as you can see from the photographs. There are some scratches on the sides of the chest. All of the above are a testimony of the age and use of this lovely antique piece of furniture which is full of character. Please review the photographs to see the items listed here.
