This is an imposing late Victorian (c 1880) walnut library tub chair on castors. The chair is upholstered in black faux leather with brass studs. The upholstery is in very good condition.
The chair is in robust walnut with period carving on the arm rests and back. The chair stands firmly on reeded turned legs on brass castors – at the front and ceramic castors at the back.
This is an elegant piece of antique furniture in a striking faux black leather material matching perfectly with the strong walnut frame all in very good condition. The wood has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing .
