This is a Victorian c 1880 mahogany seven day duration spring movement with short pendulum and escapement. The clock is in a good colour mahogany with a rimmed case. It has original hatch door and key to the mechanism at the bottom and pegged back box with Victorian set of instructions for setting the clock going! The white painted dial has black roman numerals and steel spade hands. The clock has its original hinged brass spun type bezel – with catch, which provides the frame for the convex glass.
The clock is in working order and comes with its short pendulum and key.
Condition report: This is a very attractive antique Victorian wall clock in good condition with the movement in good quality and will serve trouble-free and reliably. However, please note this is an antique time piece. The glass convex has three small specs very difficult to see and photograph and mentioned here for accuracy. The veneer of the mahogany at the bottom right where the hatch is, has a small section missing but due to its position it cannot be seen.
Clock Diameter : 43 cm ( 17 inches)
Dial Diameter: 29 cm (11.5 inches)
