This beautiful chest is an antique Victorian (c 1840) quality Scottish mahogany turned columns chest with four drawers. There is a single shallow drawer and three graduating deep drawers.
The drawers are furnished with turned mahogany knobs and they all have original brass locks (no key is supplied but a suitable replacement should be obtainable if required). The whole is flanked by beautifully turned columns that complete this chest strikingly.
The mahogany of the chest of drawers has aged in a warm honey colour and it has a good patina and is in good antique condition considering it is some 180 years old! The chest stands firmly on its plinth.
It has been beautifully cleaned inside and out using a traditional form of wax finishing and it is ready to grace your home.
I can describe this piece as a rare find and one that seldom comes available.
